Thank you so much to the person here who recommended the book 'Stop caretaking the Borderline or Narcissist'. I started reading it and it feels as if the author was talking about my mother. There are some points in the book that paint my mother in who she truly is and in so many years of therapy, I never heard of such things. It's like a veil has finally been lifted off me.
I think more therapists need to be informed of personality disorders so they can treat people appropriately.

This is a great book. I read it in the early days of my exes BPD diagnosis. It really helped me to take a step back and focus on myself. There were many things that got me to see the reality of the situation I was in and this was one of them.

I read this a few times. I really recommend it.
