The title says it all.
A great video.

I especially like the part about us (those of use who have been with a PD, i.e. a codependent) getting something out of being with them.
Our codependency means that we are benefitting from being with this abusive person, whether it's from an external locus of control on our part, and being controlled by someone else takes away a lot of responsibility, or whether it's gaining pleasure from serving someone else (Still trying to please Mum or get noticed by Dad), it's all food for thought.

I think a lot of people don't like the word codependency, and like even less admitting that they are a codependent, but the fact is, if we weren't to some degree, we wouldn't have looked at the person in our life twice, let alone be prepared to put up with the abuse.
It's like we fit right into the perfect slot from our childhood, and find someone who treats us as we were treated then, rather than how we should be treated.

Anyway, a very enjoyable video on a very important topic.
