1foot:

You don't have to deal with your pdh in your home any longer.

You can't.

The Social Worker will work hard to bring him back into your home, but you just keep saying NO and changing subject back to possible real solutions.

You tried.  You went above and beyond.  Now you have to save your kids and yourself.

You can't save your pdh.

You just can't.

Acceptance is a balm.  Acccept your pdh will be angry and childlike and psychotic no matter what you do or say.

I'd stop visiting and making myself so visible..... perhaps limit phone calls to just those you must take.

Good luck to you.

What you are speaks so loudly in my ears.... I can't hear a word you're saying.

When someone tells you who they are... believe them.

Seems I will be buiding a wall to create a separate living space in my basement.  I will be moving Upstate and giving my pdh my  tudio area downstairs.

Between Covid cases in facilities, short staff, wait lists, full facilities and reluctance to take a mental health patient, I am forced to either bring h home or put him in the streets or in his own apt.  He would be in trouble and would not take care and be vulnerable to predators due to approaching senility.

I will make another thread to discuss my feelings about this.
