I didn't read all the responses...but I think exactly those small acts of humanity...of seeing someone...they are lacking in our society. And so valuable.

Do not underestimate yourself.

People more than once literally saved my life...a stranger asking how I was doing or a friend sending a sweet card...in exactly a moment that I wanted to give up on life.

You never know what a smile or remark can do to someone.

Your journey of healing from NPD-related trauma is valuable. The "small" kindnesses you share - smiles, helping colleagues, encouraging others - create meaningful ripples in people's lives.
Your impact matters because:

  • You've done the hard work of healing yourself first
  • You now consciously choose to help others
  • Daily acts of kindness accumulate and spread

While taking time for daily salah, remember: Not every meaningful contribution needs to make a big splash. Your gentle, consistent kindness helps build a more compassionate world, one small gesture at a time.
You're doing enough. Your presence and thoughtful actions make a difference, even if you can't always see the impact.[/list]
