how do I delete my account

I was wondering how I would delete my account? step by step please as it didn't work when I pushed the delete button in the instructions on the site.

Click on your avatar/profile pic (top left corner of the page) and go to Account Settings. Click on the Menu, and you should get a drop down list of other options. Actions drop down should provide a Delete this account option. At that point I believe it requests your current password as verification then it goes to Out of the FOG staff for approval.
