Hi Pinkos,

Can we come? lol.

That sounds like a fabulous plan! A break from all of this would be wonderful. I've got my fingers crossed for you.

Update: So I didn't end up going on vacation for the Thanksgiving break.  :( The part-time travel agent colleague turned out to be unhelpful in the way I needed. I was feeling burnt out and was hoping he would map the whole thing out for me but I think his planning consisted of steering me to certain hotels that his affiliated travel agency works for. Which makes sense but that was all he was doing so...

Anyway, on the building front. I completely disengaged since my last post and I feel much better now. I was feeling so burned out by the whole thing. I ignored all complaining texts. Things have calmed down in the building as of late. The tenant causing the problems seems to have been issued a warrant by the court and might be avoiding getting caught. I'm not sure - but I did see a mailed warrant for him. I don't want to jinx it but I'm hopeful that things will stay this way. I'm still concerned about the security of the bldg and I think the owner might still be trying to sell.

The realtor search is also ongoing and has been painful. I haven't found anyone reliable yet. I'm going to a NACA workshop this weekend to see whether I should pursue that avenue instead. I wish I had a good realtor referral from someone I trust but I don't and all the ones I've tried so far (referrals from colleagues) seem to treat the process like a game and don't seem knowledgeable at all! They seem detached in a weird way. It's super frustrating. I'm trying to remain hopeful as I don't want to feel trapped in my current apt. I think that feeling of being trapped is what set me on the course I was on trying to move mountains with the tenants. After getting some distance from it all, I see now that my time is better spent on focusing on my own achievable goals and trying to move forward with my life. I have been more focused on the home search and it's been a good way to refocus my energies even if it has been frustrating.
