sometimes turning unknowns to knowns has side-effects of increased awareness, and with great toolbox implementation comes increased emotional distance with the PD coupled also with increased persecution and victimization by the PD as the PD reacts to your new self-protection. But, in a relationship with a PD, awareness and knowledge is self-empowerment!

Thanks for this - makes me feel stronger

Proverbs 17:1

2 Timothy 1:7

I'm still here even though my uNPD mother and enabling stepdad both died in April. I got here early 2017 and really haven't left. It's a sanity saving place for me.

I'm feeling huge relief and disbelief that I'm free from her. The feeling of  :meh: is an odd one though. Someone who consumed my whole life died and I feel quite indifferent.
It's weird!

Just noticed I was in the Chosen Relationships area, oops. My mother/daughter relationship wasn't chosen but forced.

I think all the areas overlap a lot and quite a few topics could have been discussed in any of them.
