According to my therapist, I have some trauma associated with my waist & genitalia below the equator.  I am EXTREMELY defensive & protective of the area around my belly button to about mid-thigh.  I do have trauma associated with the waist, but none that I know of for below that.

Has anyone had luck in figuring out the trauma attached to a specific area of your body?  What did you do that helped you unlock the memory/ies?  It's affecting a lot of areas in my life, including work, so this needs to be worked out (safely) ASAP.
I lived with my dad's uPD mom for 3.5 years.  This is my story:  https://www.outofthefog.net/forum/index.php?topic=95567.0  (TW for abuse descriptions.)

I found myself an ASPD boyfriend and crashed so hard that all my old painful memories burst open. Would not recommend.  :ninja:

Some ideas:
- Body oriented therapy, like haptonomy or trauma-massage-therapy?
- Plain old EMDR on more accessible layers, to see if this brings up deeper layers?
- I've read of a drama therapy...where you do certain postures and expressions...to bring up emotions and memories...I hope the name of the therapy comes to mind soon. Maybe google.
- Longterm prayer or meditation techniques?

Just some ideas.

Yoga and somatic yoga helped me tremendously. I also did the EMDR and highly recommend it as well as traditional therapy. But the somatic yoga is a wonderful to move your body = and when you do allow the emotions to roll through when you release them. It took a few months, but the end result really moved me forward.
