Congratulations Boat Babe!   Your past experiences will be a blessing to the kids as you can empathize with them on many levels and truly understand both the emotional and physical toll they are carrying, and at minimum offer both friendship and support.  Glad to read the excitement in your writing.  😃

Obviously the organisation could see your value, and it's great to hear they created this position for you.
You'll be wonderful in the role, with your lived experience, teaching skills and huge compassion for young people.

Update on the job. I started on Monday and I couldn't be happier. Colleagues and management are great and I hit the ground running.

I will bring all the collective experience, wisdom and compassion from this forum into my practice. Thank you fellow travellers ❤️❤️❤️
