Reading this now....one of my favorite so far.  (In this inspiring book, Wayne Muller draws on more than twenty years of experience as a therapist and minister to show how hard-won wisdom born of pain can become a powerful source of strength and peace.  By revealing how to recognize the damaging effects of childhood wounds and how to transform them in order to rediscover natural vitality, creativity, and joy."  Each chapter ends with ideas for guided meditation.

I've been through the "what" books about PDs.

I've been through the "why" books dx my codependency, C PTSD/people pleasing.

Now I'm reading books to move me into what I feel is my next stage...the healing of moving forward, a deep spirituality that allows me to accept my life experiences and transform them into goodness.  I no longer want to feel mired in the muck.

I came here looking for something hopeful and inspiring, that was based on childhood healing- this looks perfect! Thank you!

Momfog,

I love your post!!! After only five months post NPD discard, I feel like I'm between the "why" and "how". Although, I feel sometimes like I need to keep going over the "what," and I catch myself to stop because I'm already feeling like I could earn a PhD in Cluster B!

The next stage! Absolutely! Well said and thanks for the recommendation. This made me look at all my books I have about C-PTSD, NPD, BPD, that they are all about the why, how and all that. Super helpful and absolutely necessary but now, my goal is to empower and turn all that crap into fertiliser for my life.
