Ugh, I imagine a toddler stomping their foot as I read this! Sorry you are dealing with the insanity as usual.

My ex-uNPD mil from first marriage to ex-UNPDh #1 flat out told me once, in all seriousness and not in jest, that if I would just humor her and pretend to follow her constant un-solicited (i.e. often hypocritical and demanding) advice, that she and I would get along so much better. This is one reason she (and her son) are in the EX category today...I was not humoring anybody!

Today I was interrogated on precisely why I don't just do as I'm told. I didn't engage, which lead to crying, saying that I'm an awful person, then not talking to me all day except to bark commands and hiss at me when I step out of line.

There were several attempts to revisit the conversation, and threats that if I don't engage we would never be okay.

I'm not born yesterday and know i have to take this beating with a stiff upper lip, but  this s**t is so surreal it makes me wonder whether I'm suffering from a major concussion...
