Updh will laugh (or smirk) at other people's mistakes, shortcomings etc.
However, he is very sensitive and gets embarrassed easily if he does something wrong, so cannot stand being laughed at.
Another double standard.
I am careful not to laugh at or make fun of him if he does something 'dumb'... But then I'd really appreciate the same courtesy in return... Nope.
And then I think he wants me to laugh along with him... Or get upset. What I do now is mc it...I flatly state that he doesn't need to laugh at me... At which point he claims he's not...

Why would you ever....
That's what I get. Or
Didn't you discuss this with....???
Boy, I said that one to him, and he caught FIRE like gas soaked tumbleweeds!!! Let's see if he uses that anymore. He probably will. I've said Why Would You Ever and he still uses it.

In the past, flipping his pet phrases has made him find others. Not stop the behavior, mind you. But when I get sick to pieces of hearing these phrases, I can at least make him think up a new one. Maybe.

Also, if I call him out on anything, he too says he isn't doing it. Thhhbbtt. Right.
