Hello...hi...I'm a survivor of narcissistic abuse.  Moreover, I'm the daughter of a narcissistic parent.  This narcissistic parent is currently still in my life and they are making it a living nightmare.  Just this year I finally stood up for myself after years of mental and emotional abuse.  I was too blind to see how serious this abuse was in the past.  This year and the following year I'm going to put forth every ounce of effort that I have available into escaping this narcissist and severing all possible ties with them.  Due to my severe emotional neglect, I'm not capable of handling stressors that most people are capable of handling on a daily basis.  This includes a basic 9-to-5 job.  (Sometimes I look in awe at people who are able to handle daily stressors, often wondering how they don't break down from the strain.)  As for finances, I'm currently working towards a secret goal that can garner me money.  No worries, it isn't illegal.  Since I don't want to be sabotaged by my narcissist, I'm keeping it private.  If it doesn't work out, I have another financial goal up my sleeve.  Both will remain private for now.

Controlling your own finances is an incredibly important step toward controlling your life, and I think that's a great goal.

I hope you have access to a counselor. It is amazing how helpful it can be to have someone helping us point ourselves in the right direction.
