A bunch of caring, generous women entered my life 36 years ago today to help me walk a sober path.  I was a young woman at the time, as lost and clueless as a person could be.  It was the touchstone of every bit of growth and good that has entered my life since.

I wish avoiding dysfunctional relationships had been as easy as quitting drinking.  That would take a lot longer to start getting the hang of.  An embarrassingly long time.  But again, recovery support was the beginning of that journey.  Thanks also to everyone here who gives of themselves to show others a way to hope!

Congratulations. That is such an achievement.

You will leave when you are ready, just like you gave up drinking when you were ready.

Wonderful! Congratulations! How wonderful that you have women who will support you.  You are way ahead of the game than many of us.

Again, Congrats!

Thanks so much everybody!   You all do wonderful work supporting each of us on here.

BTW, Getting, I did make it out twice in those 36 yrs.  Left a husband quite long ago.  And left my PDex last year and went NC with him in Dec.  It's been so helpful to  share my struggles here with that.  NC is really helpful, but I have found it quite hard to maintain at times.  My friends don't get it.  You guys do.  That makes all the difference.

Wow. That is an amazing accomplishment. Thank you for sharing that. Enjoy celebrating this for yourself.
