UnPDxh lied about having COVID at some point over the past few months (?). I caught him in the lie tonight while we were discussing potentially taking a break from visitation due to rapidly spreading cases. Why would you withhold that information, especially if you need to be sure you are no longer contagious before seeing your child for visits and exposing both said child and your ex-wife?!

I went through our text history and there was a period of several weeks where he didn’t see DD, told me he had “strep” and that he and his wife both tested negative.

I knew I could never trust him but this is a new low.

Ugh, he sounds so awful. I'm so glad you are out and free and doing so well.
It's horrible to have to deal with all this nonsense, the only silver lining I can see is that it's further validation of the fact that you are right in your assessment that he is likely PD lack of empathy and manipulation.

Thanks, Jolly.

I'm particularly proud of how I deal with him. I'm assertive but not reactive and i grey rock A LOT.

I have to say, pre-pandemic, DH and I felt like we had gotten to a pretty good place mentally about BM. We had (mostly, sort of) accepted that she's gonna be terrible and that all we can do is be good parents to the kids and not let her bs affect DH's parenting time.

Now with the pandemic ... that's all out the window. She is literally endangering OUR health with her reckless actions. And she's such a liar there is really no way to assess our own risk level. So not only are we constantly at risk, but we can't ever see basically anyone, because we can't effectively quarantine ourselves for two weeks prior. The other day DSS came home wearing a coronavirus themed shirt that she had bought in a bar.

Anyway just affirmation that yes this is enraging and unworkable. And yet we have to make it work. And it sucks and you and your daughter deserve to be safe from COVID and I'm sorry that because of him you're not. (Although maybe now he's immune? So hopefully you're actually safer for awhile?)

Penny,
So sorry you're going through that! The covid t-shirt is beyond the pale (and going to bars... how are they even open?!).

Also this:

"And she's such a liar there is really no way to assess our own risk level. So not only are we constantly at risk, but we can't ever see basically anyone, because we can't effectively quarantine ourselves for two weeks prior."

Exactly! Their lying is exhausting on a good day but now it complicates everything on a much larger scale.

I have also thought about how it "might" be safer since ex has had it (he claims he has antibodies but I'm not sure what to believe, of course). From what I gather, they will be taking their new baby to visit people because they think babies "are immune".

I just can't.
