Forgiveness and trusting myself again

So this year, there has a been a lot of growth through self-discovery. Last year, I focused on creating and enforcing my boundaries as well as letting go of guilt related to upholding these boundaries. Two areas I would like to work on next are forgiving and trusting myself again. All the gaslighting and manipulations have left me often doubting myself. This adds to anxiety for me.

Does anyone have any recommendations on books, articles or online videos about these topics?

Thanks  :)

You may like to look at the YouTube channel of the author and counsellor Kris Godinez. She specialises in Narcissistic Abuse Syndrome and how targets of abuse can cope better. Her YouTube channel is called "We Need To Talk with Kris Godinez".

She often talks about the target of abuse rebuilding their self esteem. She talks about doing "mirror work" where you address yourself in a mirror and say nice things to yourself such as giving yourself permission to have a nice day, for instance. It's all about reprogramming your negative thinking. She also talks about addressing you inner child and the original abusive wound. She also talks about trusting your gut as it doesn't lie, unlike your head and your heart.

She has a list of recommended books to read on her Facebook page. I have posted the list onto the "Book Reviews" section of this forum under "Recommended books by Kris Godinez". https://www.outofthefog.net/forum/index.php?topic=86644.msg743844#msg743844

I hope this all helps you. You are doing so well.
