Hi all.
Just saying a quick hello to you all.

Looking forward to reading about all your experiences.
For me, a year on, the fog has completely lifted, but living close to my ex means that until I move (which I'm working on), I have to put up with the possibility of seeing them.
So for that reason, on the occasional day when the cognitive dissonance kicks in (and they are rare), hopefully I'll be able to get some comfort from this community, either directly or through reading your stories.

Also, if I can help anyone who's going through the same experience, then all the better.

Good to be here.
Simon.

Hi and welcome to Out of the FOG! I am so thankful you are out of a relationship that was causing you pain.

It can be so difficult to live in the same community as an ex.

The conversations on the forum boards are a wealth of insights and have been a great help to me. When you are ready join in!

I hope you find your time here to be an encouragement and support and am glad you have found us!

Welcome!

One of the biggest comforts I first got from Out of the FOG was learning that I wasn't alone. Whatever it is you struggle with, someone has experienced something similar. But while the patterns and concepts are recognizable, your story will always be unique.

Make sure to check out the Toolbox: there are so many tactics, discussions of what to do and what not to do.
