I read this today in an old Oprah magazine I still have (reader comments page)


"In May's O interview, Oprah said "Our pain is in inverse proportion to how much we were loved as a child. If you didn't receive love, then you have a lot of dysfunction that you're forever trying to work out." So much of this. My mother gives so many things to GC bro. Food, money. Cars. Houses. Lawyers. She has taken things from me that I needed, that I *thought* were mine, and given them to him because he "needed them more". He promptly sold them. She has tried mightily to get things away from me that actually WERE legally mine, to give to him. (That did not happen. I was wise after the first time.)
She sometimes gives me things, too, never EVER on the scale of what goes to him, and always with giant cable anchors attached.
