Just..........
Ya know?
Man!!
Now it's up to me to feel guilty that he went back to work, because I harped on him about going back to work.
Well, I said something that one time, asked "When do you think you'll be able to go back to work?"
I mean, really, losingmyself! Give the man a break with all the asking and complaining!
I'm so sick of this crap.
And I may no longer tell him that if he hates his job so much that he should get another one. That just makes  him angry, so I just have to listen. And listen.
Sigh.......

I hope you drop the ball and tell yourself that there is no need to feel guilty because he does what he does, no matter what you say. He is master of his own fate. And if he hates your complaining so much, why does he stick around to listen to it.
And the same applies to you. If he complains about his job, decide how long you will listen to his rants, 5 minutes? 10 minutes?  After that, you could say kindly,  yes, that must be hard.   and then you walk away.
I can't hate my way into loving myself.

You are right. I have told myself, and really gotten over feeling guilty about the things he tries to put on me.
I think the irritating thing is his incessant need to put the blame on me. Even though I don't accept it.
I guess it would stop him in his tracks if I asked why he's with me.
I will get better at finding things to do when he starts in about work.
But it's so sickening! Even though I recognize it as gaslighting or projecting
