Hi All,

I just wanted to share something exciting! Like so many of us here, I've been working on myself, doing self development for several years to undo the damage of a childhood as a scapegoat to PDs...

Anyway, as usually happens in such circumstances, I had an 'insecure' attachment pattern... specifically anxious attachment (feeling unloved, and usually ending up in relationships than reinforce that feeling!). Anyway, with work I've managed to change my attachment pattern, I recently did the test and came up... 'secure'! I was so amazed I did the test again and came up with the same result. Anyways, I'm feeling happy about that, do just wanted to share.

I'm still working on a number of different things, but I am finding my tolerance for unhealthy behaviours and situations is really changing! It's so good to see progress  :) I just wanted to share because I feel really good about that.

The book 'Attached' https://www.amazon.com/Attached-Science-Adult-Attachment-YouFind/dp/1585429139 is really good - highly recommended if you are interested!

I can't hate my way into loving myself.

It's great when we achieve a new, and permanent level of growth. The work certainly pays off. Well done jj.
It gets better. It has to.

With the right, productive, work we can all come out of these weird experiences being the best person we can be. Well done!

Woah, I'm impressed! Well done you! I wasn't sure that was possible tbh

It is not proud. It does not dishonour others.
It is not self-seeking. It is not easily angered.
It keeps no record of wrongs.

Congrats, JollyJazz, I imagine that took lots of hard work.
I also want to thank you for the book suggestion.
I've started reading more about attachment styles as the topic is discussed in Don't Alienate the Kids. Im eager to learn more as its seems key to my own healing.
