It's been almost 5 years! When will he stop?

Hi all

My life journey of leaving the ex and early days and check ins are on this site.

I guess having very young kids together means ongoing association to some extent.

Saturday night at home like any other night. ExASPD life going down the drain in his regular cycle but i no longer bail him out. He resents and despises the life I've built for kids and me without him.

He turns up at door drunk and grabs me by the throat. Pushes me around the loungeroom. Police ambos etc. Intervention order no 4 and I thought this was years behind me.

However friends I don't feel guilty or obligation to him like I once did. Fear a little as he is unpredictable. This was a big shock I never expected this.

So stronger boundaries u can't give them an inch. No being nice.

I'm so sorry that happened to you.  I'm glad that the police were involved and that you got medical attention. 
Good for you standing your ground and keeping the boundaries in place.  It is such a huge change when we no longer bail them out and realize they are no longer our responsibility.   
Most importantly, are you ok?
