Update - I made it!

So I've finally escaped after 7 years of hell.

It was so hard, and of course, I was feeling so guilty, but I did what I had to do.

Obviously, there is more to come. I still have to divorce him and get full custody of my child, but right now I'm just so happy that I'm in my country with my family. It's a totally different world, but it's peaceful.

Thanks to all of you who supported me and helped me through everything. I gained so much strength from all of you. ❤️

What fantastic news!!  You are SO very brave, in the face of the unknowns that your PDh would have attempted to manipulate your leaving the country, and for facing the unknowns of your husbands potential behaviors toward you.  VERY. WELL. DONE.   

You have done what is good and right for your little boy and someday, he will learn the bravery and persistent toughness of his mother and model himself after his heroic mom.  I look forward to reading of your continued progress toward legal freedom from this marriage, which i understand may take some time, per your careful unfolding plan.
