I'm trying to figure this out in my mind as my FOO was my mom was UBPD and Dad UNPD but both really toxic.

My Dh family are u covert narcissistic PD Dad and U narcissistic PD mom.

My question is does one PD attract another as it appears ghat way to me.

What are other people's thoughts on this?

Oh yes, definitely. Or at least, a Pd attracts a codependent. Let's just say emotionally healthy people tend to not get into or else stay in dysfunctional or abusive relationships.

My parents are both uPD. F fits NPD, BPD, OCPD, and ASPD traits too. M would be best described as an "inverted narcissist." My in-laws, my MIL is definitely uNBPD, my FIL perhaps more codependent/avoidant. In both families we have a good cop/bad cop dynamic, but they are 100% on the same side for their spouse against SG me.

I'd say yes.

My uNPD exH married the woman he left me for, who is also uNPD.  But I'd also day he's co dependent.

OMG that sounds like hell. I hope they never have children. Soooo grateful to be free of PD madness.
It gets better. It has to.

Thankfully they haven't had children.  My understanding is that they took steps to ensure that he'd be permanently unable to have children.

No she just likes to steal other people's kids. My ds included.  Although as ds gets older I think he manages to keep me as his mum.  We have a good relationship.  So thankful.

YES or a codependent as Cordelia wrote.

My father was a overt narcissist, M is a covert one.

In many narcissistic families, a covert narcissist parent is partnered with an overtly abusive and neglectful one, allowing the covert to appear reasonable, selfless, easygoing, or otherwise "good" by comparison
I may be the black sheep of the family, but some of the white sheep are not as white as they try to appear.

YES YES YES.  How on earth could an emotionally mature adult be anyway attracted to an emotionally arrested person ( not adult)   as a life long partner?  Co dependency as said is the norm for PDs.
