Even when it's really bad, there is a ray of sunshine

Thought you all may appreciate this story.  As I've posted, uHMIL and enabling-FIL are living with us until they get placed into assisted living.  MIL keeps wanting to get in her car and drive back to her home state.  She packs up all her stuff, and sometimes other people's stuff, and leaves it all over the driveway and the hood of the car.  We decided that the best approach would be to get her car out of sight, in the hope that it then goes out of mind.  So I texted a friend at 8 a.m. this morning and asked if she could help me hide a car.  Before I could even explain why, she texted back to give her five minutes to throw some clothes on and then bring it right over.  No questions asked.  Never asked me if it the car was stolen or if there was a body in the trunk  :)

The car is tucked away in my friend's garage, and I have been feeling blessed all day.  Even in the midst of all this craziness, there is someone who will help me with five minutes notice.  Also, now I know who to text if I ever do need to hide a body.

Happy weekend everyone!

That's hilarious. There's a joke along the lines of that. The punchline being "I'll get my spade"

I hope you can stay chilled while she's with you
It gets better. It has to.

Well, Dry January has already gone out the window  ;D  But I have switched to herbal tea during the week, at least.

I may be the black sheep of the family, but some of the white sheep are not as white as they try to appear.

A friend who comes over when you need them and doesn't ask questions is a true friend indeed! This story brightened up my day
