Man fakes being deaf and dumb for 62 years to avoid listening to his wife

He now faces divorce. His lawyer described the wife as "annoyingly chatty." " In a way he did it for her and the family "  (They raised 6 children)

She eventually learnt sign language to communicate with him ! Then he said his sight had started to fail!

Now which one is PD, or both?

Not necessarily either. Guess it was too much to ask that he simply be honest with his wife ... Interesting she/they take this step after 62 years, makes you wonder about the rest of the story.

She only just discovered he could actually hear all the time, from her seeing him on Youtube  singing at a Karaoke bar ! when she thought he was at a charity event , hence the divorce proceedings.  62 years lying to your wife that you cant hear her ?! Thats complete contempt. He let her learn sign language!  Her believing it , thats serious denial or gullible beyond belief.

OR he's just that good an actor? But yes, the contempt is just unreal. She probably tried to pass it off and excuse it for many years, with him presumably laughing at her the whole time.
