Some of you know my story, but it's very typical to stories shared here, but with the caveat of ex also being antivaxx and anti science, not a good combination. This means that our 3 yr old child has not had any vaccines, barely have been able to manage to take child  to his annual well child checks, and that should say a lot. He has had untreated ear infections while at ex, or dental treatment delayed for several months to the point child needed close to a dozen crowns this early in his life.

To top it off, after covid, child has been experiencing severe stomach distention,  ex would either not follow medical orders or stop meds, etc. Even though I had been afraid to confront her in court because of retaliation threats she sends every so often to keep me in check, I said to myself I need to do something about it even if it means p&ssing her off. I filed for sole medical decision making (currently we have joint decision making and equal parenting time). Since then, the attacks have been non stop: CPS, police at exchanges, disparaging comments to doctors and others, calling police during exchanges because I'm 'dangerous', anything you can think of, she has accused me to craft her DV narrative which is her narrative to counter my motion. I continue to ignore as much as I can and just go through the motion, through the family investigator that the court assigned at my request, etc. Of course all this makes me nervous because I'm just not sure how I can help the investigator see what she's putting me through. Not saying I'm an angel but the domestic arguments we've had when we were together couple years ago should not have much impact now, and she knows it so now saying things about child abuse and harassment, etc. Anyone in similar situation?

That sounds so miserable for your little DS.  I can't say that I've been in a similar situation, so I can't offer much advice.  However, I wish you the best in trying to get sole medical decision making. It truly sounds like it's what's in the best interest of your little guy!

You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I'll rise.

Going to court sucks. I'm sorry. There's no way around it. Our experience was that PD BM hated court (does not like being accountable for her behaviors) and so she tried to make us miserable too.

My suggestion is put your head down and power through. This is temporary. Document EVERYTHING just in case she gets somewhere with the insane allegations. But the record should be very clear why you need medical decision making - it sounds like it's critical that you get this so your son can get basic medical care. And the record should also be clear that these allegations only started when you went to court.
