I'm a little nervous but also very excited to be volunteering at a horse rescue farm. More nervous because my knees are pretty crappy but I'm getting a support brace.

Aside from just being an animal lover. My thoughts have always been animals love unconditionally; they don't judge or yell at you, criticize everything you do when you try and help them. They are not verbally or emotionally abusive. They are eternally grateful and just happy to get a good pet or a scratch. Its helping horses who have been abandoned or abused. They try and rehome them or just let them stay on at the sanctuary.
It will be like my therapy, aside from my artwork. One more step going forward.

What fun. Enjoy yourself tremendously 😁
It gets better. It has to.

Kat that sounds awesome.  I love horses, have ever since I was little.  I hope you enjoy your time there, it sounds lovely.  ;D

Just being needed and serving their needs has done wonders for me! You're giving back in the best way you know, and I believe animals feel that. You'll be surprised how many times you're having one of those days and one of the animals reaches out to you in just the right way.

This is so cool... especially hearing that you'll be helping abused and abandoned horses. It sounds like you have a big heart for animals and I hope this gives you a sense of healing. Tell us how it goes? I've thought about equine therapy before and would love to hear more about your experience. I hope all goes well with your knees, too.
