never wanted to be on FB but we had to join for kid's activity
I decided to start posting a few pics (23 so far) & friended few people plus one neighbor

our kid, when younger, played with all the neighbor kids & was friends with them all

so scrolling through neighbors FB, I find multiple pics of  get togethers inside another neighbor's house & a big outdoor party at a second neighbor's house (not the FB neighbor)

don't know why but find this irritating that our child was excluded from all these neighborhood get togethers/parties
why would neighbors invite ALL the kids EXCEPT our child!?

note all the kids including mine were same ages or 1 yr difference

I'd like to ask the one neighbor why she excluded our daughter at a fun outdoor gathering. As a Christian,  I'd expect she'd know better than to exclude a neighbor child.

However, they moved out of neighborhood this year.

Her child & my child played together a lot...at their house & at my house.

I understand how hurtful that is. Even if you could ask your neighbour though, you probably would not get an honest answer. The worst thing you could do now, would be to take this personally in the sense that you wonder what it is about you, or your kid respectively, that made them exclude you from parties.
It has happened to me more than I would like to say, and looking back now, I think it might have had something to do with how my NPDh behaved at social gatherings. So, we were not invited to certain parties but welcome on a 1 on 1 basis. I did feel excluded and I was saddened, especially when my kids were concerned, but the beating up and questioning of myself did not help. Accepting that this was sore, yet they had every right to choose who they wanted at their parties did help in the long run.
I can't hate my way into loving myself.

thanks for sharing

used to be Pastor on our street & the wife was close friends with the one family where kids hung out a lot & where several FB pics were taken (without our kid)
they both went to same church where he was one of the Pastors

so one day, Pastor's wife condemns the church we attend
funny thing is I see the other neighbor with kids (always invited) had a FB Christmas pic of them at same church as us!

my guess is the Pastor's gossipy wife probably talked bad about me to neighbor who then excluded our child at neighborhood big gatherings
we live 2 doors down but around corner so couldn't see gatherings
