Hello everyone. I don't know how much of my story most of you know, but my uNPDx used to study with me in a foreign country, and to go NC with him I cam back to my hometown, which is NOT his hometown whatsoever. Last night, I saw weird blocked texts from him saying he's going to be disappearing and I should get in touch with him as soon as possible. He was seemingly doing better and I was confused why he said that, so I called him to find out he flew (minimum sixteen hours) to reach MY city and is living here. This is a hovering attempt but the level is grandiose. It's insane, and on call he sounds like he has absolutely lost it. He came all the way without any of his belongings and refuses to go back, he has no family contact, he is not financially stable enough to carry through this and he has literally no place to go after here. He sounds like it doesn't even bother him how ridiculous this is, he doesn't seem to even recognise that this is hazardous, and how wrong it was to come here after getting a legal warrant from me to not see me or be near me. My parents are doctors, if I confide in them they might get him in-patient because that's all that is making sense to me right now. I don't think this is NPD/BPD behaviour anymore, he sounds like he simply doesn't have a soul. He is laughing over the phone while I try to ask him for solutions and he doesn't even understand solutions. I'm scared he's at the verge of insanity. Somebody help with advice. I love and care for this person, he was abused too - I can't let him go astray.

Perhaps getting him assessed is the best thing thing you can do for him. Unfortunately this type of thing is above most of our pay grades and we cannot cure or fix it.

Be aware that if you have any sort of order out on him you may also be considered in breach if you contact him. It's a difficult situation but maybe let your parents deal with the medical side.
Caretaking him yourself will likely not end well.

It is commendable you are considerate but there has to have been a reason for any sort of order to be awarded. He needs to work on himself to overcome his issues but it seems he is running to you despite the risks. You would not be doing him or yourself any favours to fall for the hoover sadly, as much as you might want to look out for him.

Take care
