hi :)

i used to come here a lot, under a different name, almost 10 years ago.  i had just left a long marriage with children to an NPD individual and was devastated when the pennies started to drop - one or two at first and then a painful, bruising avalanche that almost, literally, killed me.  i received, and i hope gave, a wealth of support here that got me through and now work on an emotional support helpline, where i regularly signpost people here - because it's wonderful, and they have just explained a situation that isn't to me.

anyhoo - today i find myself here again - for myself.  i shalln't write too much here because i know that i need to be posting in the elderly parents section.   this is just me, saying "hi again" and finally accepting that the reason i have been susceptible to abusive relationships all my life is that i was raised in one.  and that it is making me ill now and i need to reach out to others who know.

Welcome heragain!

I was not on Out of the FOG 10 years ago, but wish I knew about the site/forum and was a recipient of your past support.  I look forward now though, to interacting with you, walking the Out of the FOG trails with you and the others and group chatting by the topical gatherings around the board campfires.  Glad you are here ☺️

thank you.  i can't say it's "good" to be back, as i wish none of us needed to be here, but it does feels safe and kind :)

p.s. do we have to fill out all the verification boxes every time we post now?!

I had to for the first few posts and then the requests stopped. I expect there is a certain number of posts, or something. I haven't looked around the site for info on this, though.
Don't let the narcs get you down!

You do not. That will go away after a few posts.
