Hi, Out of the FOG!

I'm new here. I am a single mom of 5 kids,  elementary through college.  ;D ;D :D :D :D

I was raised and homeschooled in a conservative Christian family. My mother has a couple mental health diagnoses, not a personality disorder. My dad doesn't see therapists but I suspect possibly a PD.

I co-parent with two individuals who are the two fathers of my children. Both marriages were very difficult, violent, abusive, but after divorces those relationships became more overtly challenging.
:'(
I have been diagnosed with PTSD and have been in therapy for many years.

I enjoy quilting, gardening, and writing. I teach at a university . I love my life now, and the peace and hope I have.

But there are ongoing challenges and sometimes the fog surrounds me. I would like to learn to cope better.

I'm glad to be here.

Sincerely,
Blue :D

We are glad to have you. You've clearly had significant intersection with folks with PDs or folks that share a lot of traits with PD folks. That does real damage and requires real strength for healing.

Check out our Toolbox. The biggest lesson I learn there, especially looking at the Top 100 Traits and What To Do page, is that we are not alone. And you are probably already on the right track in many ways.

I look forward to seeing you on the boards.
