don't know how long this movie is being offered
I watched it tonight & it has good ideas:

The film explores how anyone can go from feeling stressed, worried, fearful, sad, and completely out of control in their lives, to experiencing calm, deep inner peace and happiness—no matter what the current circumstances are!

it's worth it to watch the whole movie

there are amazing stories of people who overcame adversity
at the end it summarizes "how" we can make changes

Hi Jolie40,

I have not watched the film, but just watched the trailer.  The movie looks well made and motivational.  Will you consider elaborating on this thread, how the movie's teaching may have confirmed, enhanced or altered your view of your past experiences and/or is motivation for your future?

That may help me to understand, through your experiences, what the movie teaches.

Proverbs 17:1
A meal of bread and water in peace is better than a banquet spiced with quarrels.

2 Timothy 1:7
For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

Proverbs 29:11
A fool gives full vent to his spirit, but a wise man quietly holds it back.

I screenshot creator of movie at end & it had love, peace, joy, gratitude on screen
so that is goal of movie & what one can work towards

if I remember correctly, the movie was 1 1/2 hr & there is a lot to take in
I did not take notes but considering watching it again to grasp ideas that would apply to me

my memory is not the best due to a condition I have so when I want to remember, I do need to take notes!

Hi Jolie40,
It's your post so I think it's acceptable if I veer a little off course.
You mentioned memory problems. I too have a difficulty in absorbing information the first time around and then retaining it, re-call is also hard for me and tends to come back in spurts followed by a big rush if it returns to me at all.

It makes supplying in-depth analysis on demand a complete nightmare!
I too have to take notes.

I have a horrible tendency to skim through everything, get the gist and miss details. To my credit I reread and rewatch later to get the rest of the story. My minds been scattered so it took me three tries to watch (most of) Unsinkable.

To me Unsinkable does address what we do a lot here - changing ourselves and our thought processes rather than thinking we can (or should) change other people. It goes into the need for forgiveness so we can let go of the past, something I've been working on already.

One thing i'd not considered is how often so many of us don't live in the present. Oversimplified: Anger, stress, worry, depression (negative emotions) have nothing to do with the present moment. Through them we're either relieving the past or dreading the future, stressing and depressing ourselves in the process. To what purpose really? THIS is what we have, can't possibly change the past, and worrying over what might happen or go wrong spoils it.

It's definitely food for thought - GOOD nourishing food! I'll watch it again (to make some notes) and appreciate you recommending it, Jolie
