I wasn't sure where to put this but some really good news.

We got a follow up appointment through for an issue with acid reflux that DD suffered from. When I told her she told to me to cancel it, she is no longer suffering from it and told me she hasn't since the stress from XW stopped. Then I got to think about it myself, I too suffered from it but mine has also got so much better and almost disappeared completely.

So boys and girls, get out of those unhealthy relationships for yours and your kids health.

escapingman,

Glad to hear that your physical health has improved once the "stress producing" situation was corrected!

I know that my physical health has improved tremendously over the 9 months of NC.

Wishing you and yours continued good health

Excellent reminder.  I have been walking around feeling on the verge of hyperventilating from stress for about 6 weeks leading up to moving my mom into AL.  Then I started to stress about carrying so much stress & what it was doing to my health.  I look forward to calming down over the next few weeks & maybe feeling like myself again.

100% this.  My health has also significantly improved.  Makes me upset to think about all the medication and therapy that I paid for out of pocket because of people like this.  Wish I could foot them with an invoice...going forward, no more of these kinds of people crossing my threshold.   :bigwink:

Congrats EM and and DD!  Add me to the list.  Reflux and GERD are much improved.  I have flare-ups that directly tie to frustrating events with my stbx on my way to divorce, but can clearly differentiate good/bad, vs the symptoms being a constant in the past.

The other symptom which is so greatly improved for me is my head, neck, jaw and teeth pain from my past terrible clenching while I sleep.  Congrats again!

I also have enjoyed significant improvement in my health since escaping uOCPDh.
- my chronic migraines are no longer chronic, but rare
- my minor digestive issues have disappeared completely
- my energy levels are comparable to what they were in my early 30s
- the whole family are generally much less anxious about day to day things and bounce back sooner from upsets
- small health issues like allergies seem to bother us all significantly less than before
- everyone maintains a healthy weight with very little effort

I agree with all of the above - my blood pressure went down and my stomach issues are gone.  My son used to take Tylenol like candy and now he rarely takes it.

Stress is just so unhealthy for your mind and body.
