Hi everyone,

This is my first post on here. I am a daughter of a mother with undiagnosed, but very apparent, BPD. I have been in therapy for almost three years now regarding my relationship with my mother, PTSD, an ED, anxiety & depression. Besides the PTSD, a lot of these mental health problems stem from my mother's emotional neglect. I am trying to learn to cope with it the best I can, as going no contact is a fear, because I am close with my dad (they have a Hermit/Huntsman dynamic). Just wanted to say hi, this forum is awesome, I've felt so alone going thru this.

Welcome! Not everyone can go NC, so we understand. Study the Toolbox for suitable strategies on how you can protect yourself when interacting with the difficult people in your life. See you around on the boards!
I can't hate my way into loving myself.

Hi daisyd0418. Adding a warm welcome to you. I am so sorry for the circumstances you are working through, but thankful you have found this kind and supportive community! There are many of us fellow travelers here and we understand the complicated dynamic having a PD parent and non PD parent presents.

Make good use of the resources found all over the forum content and join the conversations taking place on the boards! I have found participating here to be unlike anything else in my own recovery journey! I am hoping the support you find here will be a huge encouragement for you!
