A soundtrack for grief work

Currently, I'm reading "Will I Ever Be Good Enough" by Karyl McBride and am doing a lot of grief work while making my way through the acceptance phase of grief - accepting my uNPD mother and grieving what happened/ didn't happen. It's really heavy going. McBride emphasises truly FEELING the feelings, to give the trauma physical expression and get it out of your body.

I'm using songs as prompts to get me to reflect on feelings, to feel them, and to cry A LOT. It's very painful and exhausting but there's a glimmer of hope as I make my way forward.

My question is - if you could make a soundtrack of your PD parent/spouse/other significant person's treatment of you and how it makes you feel, what songs would you include? Here are three I'm using:

- Numb, Linkin Park
- Somewhere I Belong, Linkin Park
- That's All, Phil Collins

Any other ideas? A grief soundtrack for PD abuse survivors.

What was clutch for me in those early days was pounding the treadmill/elliptical while listening to this music.

"Lean on Me" by Bill Withers [or the UB40 version when I require a dab more pep]
"Edge of the Ocean" by Stick Figure
"One Day" by Matisyaho
