This is a wise and empowered way to frame Christmas! LOVE IT!!

I got so sick of the PD games with gifts that I decided several years ago that all adults on my list get food. End of story. Saves me the time and worry of trying to come up with something they actually need/like/will use. Everyone has to eat!

PDmom likes chocolate, so that's always easy. PDmil has a thing about fruit, so we send a Harry & David basket with the pears everyone seems to love so much. Instead of spending weeks or months agonizing over it, I can usually be done with shopping for all the adults I give gifts to within maybe an hour on Black Friday.

I end up usually sending flowers.   I don't want to add to the clutter, she has most everything.   Anything else usually isn't right.   And, on the occasion that the flowers aren't right (and I'll get to hear about that) it is something that I can order online in about 3 minutes....done, dusted.   That helps me to minimize the anxiety.

Pick some things up at the thrift store! Don't put too much thought into it as she will not be happy no matter what you give.
