Profile picture/avatar

I've searched and checked out the wiki, but still can't find any helpful information about how to do this. How can I add a profile avatar to my account?

Hi feenix, on my computer there is a bar across the top of the screen, above the logo, when I am logged in.  Clicking the left-most icon, which looks like the head and shoulders of a person, and then choosing Profile Details from the dropdown, took me to a screen where I could choose an avatar.  Thanks for inspiring me to go looking, I like my new cat avatar!
