Hello fellow survivors,

I wish you all the very best on your healing journeys. Reading your experiences makes me understand that I am not alone on this path. As I look to work on healing and not be 'in it'.

I have suffered from PTSD until I was 39, reliving memories, like a film in my head and affecting my relationships.

I have charted this path positively however, been to counselling, do sound baths and meditation which has really helped. I have also become aware of psychology and transactional analysis which has helped.

Whilst I am now in a loving relationship, with a great career the path to this was not easy. I struggled with boundaries, choosing to be with abusive people, hyper sensitivity and seeing danger, being avoidant. I also am still improving relationship management and am still trying to improve here.

My mother is an extreme psychopath. Very physically abusive. She used to beat us up every day from a very early age for the house not being clean enough. Bust our nose and beat is for bleeding on the carpet. Hold our head under water in a bath for bleeding on the carpet for long periods of time.

Other cruel things hitting is with canes which left bruises for weeks. Spitting in our food and making us eat it.

Making us make false allegations against people, beating us if we didn't sound convincing enough.

General neglect not feeding is giving us proper clothes leaving us out in the cold. Locking us in cupboards. Myself and siblings.

Leaving is in the care of know peodophiles so we were all molested, myself and siblings.

Pretending to the world that she is the perfect mother. Smear campaigns when I chose to not have a relationship with her.

Turning siblings against other siblings. I had to turn my back on my whole family.

I'm so sorry you and your siblings had to live like that. It's possible that your mother was treated the same way and learned that behavior from her parents. I hope you find inner peace and continue going to counseling.
