Working on me

Poison Ivy

Last week, I quit one of my two jobs with the same employer. Job I quit: Boss might or might not be a narcissist but definitely has created a toxic work environment. Job I didn't quit: Boss fully supports me. I'm scared about the financial hit and I feel guilty about doing something that probably will result in my team members' having to do more work. At the same time, I give myself credit for making a hard decision that is already causing my stress level to decrease. Forward!

Well done Poison Ivy!  Agree, that was a hard decision and you powered through! 🤛🏼

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

A fool gives full vent to his spirit, but a wise man quietly holds it back.

Great work!

I see it as not you that caused more strain on your coworkers, but your boss.

You are not responsible for taking someone else's consequences. If your former boss is creating a difficult work environment, people becoming stressed and possibly leaving is what happens. Not your fault at all.

A courageous decision. Congratulations! Maybe you are setting an example for your former colleagues.
I can't hate my way into loving myself.

Good job! I think it's self-care when someone quits a job with narcissistic boss or colleagues.
