Hello! I made a similar post in the Coparenting section, but then I realized it might be good to post here too. I found this forum because I need support dealing with my boyfriend's undiagnosed narcissistic personality disorder ex-wife (uNPDxw).

Although I'm not a mental health professional, I've had training in mental health and mental health is adjacent to my work. I've also been in therapy myself and have greatly benefited. Point being, I have some awareness and coping skills. I've also read a few books that my BF has on divorcing and co-parenting with a PD ex-spouse.

I think I would benefit from a support group to not feel so alone in this experience, and worried about my BF and bonus kids. My boyfriend has expressed openness to a support group too, so we might go together. When I look online, I get a little overwhelmed and unsure of what is the right fit. I'm open to virtual or in-person groups. Which support groups have you had good experiences with? Do you have any suggestions on support groups for our specific situation?

Hi hopemachine - welcome to Out of the FOG! How wise to be quipping yourself and looking for resources and support as you journey and co-parent with your BF.

We have a great sub forum for co-parenting which I see you have found. Reading through past threads and posing questions is a great way to get insights as you build your toolset.

We have links found here: https://outofthefog.website/links#DivorcingLinks
that may be good to look through and see if there is anything that would be helpful to you.

One of the best places I know to send you is to the work of a man named Bill Eddy who is both a licensed social worker and an attorney and has done family mediation for many years. He has blog posts, books, just a wealth of help for those of us who find ourselves dealing with high conflict people.

Here is a link to free articles: https://highconflictinstitute.com/articles/

How wonderful that your BF has found someone who cares enough about him and your bonus kids to find help with the goal of establishing and maintaining interactions between the grown ups that allow for the kids to be kids.

I look forward to supporting you and hope the community is of good help to you!

Thank you for the warm welcome! I'm sure I will learn a lot here. It's helpful to hear stories of people who are resilient and leading good lives while unfortunately dealing with someone with PD.

Hi hopemachine. I don't usually post here but anyway, welcome. Trust me this is a great forum, if you want valid, helpful advice for what you're going through you can post in here.
I also attend virtual support groups but it depends on the type of problem you're looking to solve. I was raised by personality-disordered individuals so I joined groups that talk about this specific problem.

Hi mary_poppins! Which organization runs the support groups you attend?
