Divorce is officially final!  :yahoo:

We reached settlement without going to trial, and more easily than expected. I suspect ex has new supply, which is fine by me. Whatever ex's reason for wanting to settle quickly, I used that momentum while it was working in my favor. While I settled for less than what I'm legally entitled to, I'm still receiving more than I originally planned to offer. Thankfully my attorney set me straight by explaining that negotiation starts at 50/50!

I want to thank everyone here for your support and guidance, from the first time I lurked on the "Committed" and "Common Behaviors" forums, eventually posting then transitioning back and forth to "Working on Ourselves" and here in "Separated/Divorcing". This was the first PD forum that truly resonated with me with practical real-life advice to guide me at each stage as I was ready for it. While it's sad to know others are going through, or have gone through, the same CRAP, it's also been encouraging and sooo helpful to see none of us are alone in this experience.

I want to thank fellow member hhaw if she happens to see this for her advice on mediation. Specifically, to have all parties sign off on any agreement reached *before* disbanding the mediation session. As awesome as my attorney was, they were the one who suggested we could all go ahead and leave while the paperwork was drafted and then sent to ex and me later to sign. I politely but firmly stated nope, I can wait, let's all sign BEFORE we go! And so we did, and that was that!

And so after 25 years of PD/co-dependant craziness, stbx-uNPDh is now officially ex-uNPDh #2. I will continue working on myself so that I'm not back on here in a few years discussing any potential uNPD #3's !!!  :tongue2: I'll continue dropping by to see how everyone is doing and offer support when and where able. But I truly am ready to move on now that navigating PD is no longer my full-time job! Much love and best wishes to each of you in your journey forward.
