Good morning from central New York,

I'm happy to have found this support.  I am the family scapegoat.  My parents and developmentally disabled brother are deceased.  I have two living siblings, one sister who is seven years older and a brother who is fourteen years older.  My parents were Swedish and my father was an alcoholic who traveled internationally months at a time for work.  My mother was 45 when I was born and my father was 50.  The family was toxic and chaotic.  I was not a welcome addition because the family was in dire straights by the time I was born.  My mother handed me over to my then seven years older and older sister to raise.  Also, I was sent to live with my aunt and her family but my parents took me back.  I was dubbed "the baby of the family".  This all set the stage of what was to come.
