Just wondered if there are any Discord /Disc*rd versions for this sub, (or similar recommendations) and would appreciate any such links/addresses/etc for it as I need other safe places I can go to...

Hi BrightMoon - here are some links that may be helpful to you:

The work of Patrick Teahan @patrickteahanoffical YouTube channel has been very helpful for me because he specializes in childhood trauma, is a survivor himself, and has a powerful advocacy voice that is hard to find in therapeutic environments and content, ime.

Another helpful advocate is Dr. Ingrid Clayton at Ingridclayton.com . She uniquely delves into the trauma responses, particularly fawning, which has helped me recognize and understand that response in myself and is herself a survivor of complex childhood trauma. Dr. Ingrid Clayton also has a YouTube channel that offers vids and content that could be very helpful for you.

Good luck with expanding your support network!

thanks for the effort to help-but it should be noted that roughly 80 percent (or more!) of those links on those pages were dead links.

they either led to "error 404 site no longer in use" pages, or to forums that had dried up with the last posts on them being years ago.

perhaps the mods of Out of the FOG could clean up the 'resources' page as it cant be good for anyone to have so many links that are in actual fact dead ones?

Hi BrightMoon - thank you for the feed back. I did a review and did find a few broken links. Hopefully, you found the other resources offered helpful.

I might add, as you may not be aware that all of the team here are 100% volunteer and also actively recovering from our own difficult relationships and complex trauma. We come as we are able and do what we can.

Information, coupled with grace and understanding, is always welcome.

Patrick Teahan is a huge help for childhood trauma survivors. I've watched his videos and done some of his exercises. I got stuck at 'read 'Homecoming' book by John Bradshaw' in order to understand our broken inner child. That book is a tough read. But I'll be coming back to his exercises as soon as I finish the book.
Thanks for the other link, too.
