Our kiddo is home for his spring holidays from uni.    He's come with a sour dough starter.   I've struggled to make those and make bread with them.   They never did turn out right.   Here he is taking my ideas and running with them, improving them.   I'm enjoying beautiful fresh made sour dough...and getting tips on how to do it.  As I've never been good at it.   He's given me his secret recipe.  I'm thrilled.    My husband gently offered....it's better than yours.   And I'm so glad.   It IS better than mine.   Isn't that what we should all want for our kids?   To move the needle just a bit further forward and be happy for them.

I was struck.  Memories of me and my parents....they would poo poo anytime I moved the needle a little forward.   I'm so happy for DS.  I want him to grow beyond.

:chickendance: Celebrating with you! Oh, how I can smell that sourdough baking right through the screen and imagine the simple joy of this milestone!

Many congratulations!  Sourdough is super challenging (and delicious).

I want this for my kids so much.  They are littles right now, so it's good to see someone making it!
