Long term harassment and social media

I was receiving long term harassment from my estranged sister. I had an arguement with her many years ago.  It resulted in a filty harassment campaign of hate and interrogations and everything.  I had no choice in the matter back in 2018 just to call it a day with this person for good and forever more. I wasn't able to fix this person. She was obsessed and it took on many different forms and styles over the years.

Anyways I have her blocked on social media. I don't have a lot of social media.  A local business that I really love is running a Facebook competition and you have to like, share and tag people.

I have her blocked on Facebook.  I know she had many fake accounts for a long time to harass me on messagener.

Although it has been about 2 and half years since she harassed me on messagener, she went to email after that.

So here I am considering entering this competition.

However I am wary of her fake accounts from before and also this is a public page and she could find me this way if she wanted to.

Within her harassment and hate campaign anyone associated with me was targeted.  It was awful.  She even tracked me down on a knitting shops page and interrogated me there.

What do you think? Should I enter it or not.  I am wary that she may find me. Or will I leave it til closer to the time and enter it within the last day and then after the competition - delete my comments. What do you think?

Get a brand new email address. Start using that for stuff.

Sign up on Facebook with it. Lock down this Facebook page. Use another name for it. Don't put up your picture. Set your settings to private.

Enter the competition.

Use the Facebook account for future things you worry about.

Gradually switch your accounts to your new email address - the things she doesn't know about. Eventually check the one she knows less and less.

Throw away any snail mail from her unopened. Or put it in a box unopened in case you meed it for evidence. But don't open it. Don't read it. It's just junk.

Good points, also, using another profile on Fb can get really tricky if you add any friends to it.  If you do, never like or reply to any friend's post that they have set to "public" as these are public and searchable for everyone, and don't add anyone who could be a friend of their friends, which can be hard to do.

Don't check their posts or (even) read any messages from them if you want a gradually more peaceful life.

Take good care of yourself.
