OCPD weather

My OCPDw follows weather like it's a ticker tape for day trading.   It's continuous reviewing every forecast, the national weather service forecaster discussions, every channel, every weather radar image and Facebook and other forum style websites.   When she sees severe weather it's almost like she searches for a connection to call or reach out to people to see if their relatives are ok in some town in another state.  When we have a chance of severe weather it's monitored all day and there is never a chance to just ignore it.  All the cars must be moved, furniture folded up and taken down.   There is never a break and it seems like a source of pride to her to prepare even when the severe weather doesn't hit.
