A year into my relationship i stumbled apon bpd, this dicribed my partner perfectly, he was diagnosed with ptsd 6 months later. Even though I know this i struggle with the ups and down in moods and walking on egg shells. We've had no help since diagnosis with how we deal with this and the relationship has gotten to an extremely bad place, so much si that I've had to reach out to mental health advice for myself.
Please can anyone give me advice.

Bluevelvet - welcome to Out of the FOG. What a difficult realization in your relationship. I am thankful you reached out as this is a community where you will find support and resources as you go forward.

One of the things I learned when I first landed here at Out of the FOG is the foundational truth that you didn't cause this, can't cure it, and can't control this condition that your partner is suffering with. Here is a great article that explains this concept further: The 3 C's Rule

It is a grounding point for me to begin to live within my own limitations in the face of dysfunctional and disordered behaviors in a loved one. I can only control, change, manage myself.

As you settle in here, make good use of the toolbox at the dropdown menus above and the resources you will find gathered for you throughout the forum. There are online resources, books, and most importantly a community of people who will weigh in and support you.

When you are ready, join the conversations taking place on the subforums. I look forward to supporting you and hope that Out of the FOG can be a helpful part of your support system.
The most powerful people are peaceful people.

The truth will set you free if you believe it.
