Hey all,

I'm new to this, though I feel like I've been dealing with the symptoms of my spouse's PD for many years. Over the past couple years I've started to realize just how toxic the situation is. I've tried so many things to help, and I'm at the point where I'm trying to separate from the relationship. I'm looking for some support and hopefully a bit of advice on handling the upcoming divorce. It's gotten so complicated and confusing; I have to call my parents often just to verify that I'm not being unreasonable.

Thanks for reading!

Hi and welcome to Out of the FOG. I have heard it said that when we marry someone with a personality disorder, unbeknownst to us we marry their disorder as well. It seems like you may have found that to be accurate and are at a turning point in your relationship. Such a very hard season for you.

We have a sub forum for those who are separating and divorcing and it is found here: https://www.outofthefog.net/forum/index.php?board=8.0

There is a great group of folks who are at different points of a similar journey that engage there who I hope can be a good support for you. We also have great resources at the drop down menus above, such as the toolbox, that is a wealth of wisdom.

Looking forward to supporting you!
