Description of Expenses

Web Site Hosting: Our web site is the information (non message board) part of Out of the FOG. We pay an annual fee to have all of our content hosted on a virtual dedicated server at GoDaddy.com. This service provides the storage and bandwidth which makes Out of the FOG available on the internet. In 2011 we moved to a virtual dedicated server which costs more but allows us to host a more secure forum on our own server.

Domain Registration: Domains are internet addresses which we pay an annual fee to register. Out of the FOG is available at the following domains:

Our domains are registered at GoDaddy.com.

Message Board Hosting: From 2007-2010 our message board was hosted by Zetaboards. We opted to pay a traffic-based fee to suppress the banner advertising. In 2011 we moved to a dedicated server and began hosting the message board on our own server.

Dreamweaver Site Editing Software: We use Dreamweaver software to edit the HTML pages on our site.

Adwords Site Marketing: In 2007 we used Google Adwords to initially publicize the site.

How to support us:

Thanks all the members who have financially supported Out of the FOG. Proceeds are used to offset the costs of running and publicizing the site. There are two main ways to contribute:
